I want to share with you the story of my own arrival, about my coming home to my heart. It’s a place that I have wandered away from more times than I could ever count. This journey started for me fourteen years ago when I went to Sedona, Arizona, embarking on a spiritual quest.

I ventured with three of my girlfriends, my angel sisters. As we waited at the departure gate at the airport, I remember looking at the marquis, which featured a big ‘11:11’ on it – a symbol for me of the bridge to an entirely different spiral of energy patterning, a gateway into infinite possibilities.

We arrived to find Sedona a majestic land of Red Rocks where the vortexes pulled us deeper into our own energy centers. That trip broke me wide open. As I reconnected to my true self, I allowed the energy to flow through me like a flood that carves the banks of a narrow stream. I saw how I needed to choose to be here with my emotions and all of my feelings held within my body and to be rooted and grounded with mother earth if I wanted to fully heal.

It moved me quickly into living my life on purpose and allowing me to follow the inner callings of my soul. I began to make choices that guided me from the inside, learning to focus on God and moving forward in faith, even during the hardest of times. These choices that I made did not make life easier by any means, yet there was a knowing deep within my heart that my life was unfolding with divine perfection. This was the beginning for me to trust the guidance of my heart instead of my head.

Now, fourteen years later, I have just returned from traveling to Sedona, this time with my triplet sisters, Colleen and Philomene. We were asked to facilitate a women’s retreat at Angel Valley. Arriving here, so many years later, I was again stunned by the scenery as we drove on the winding roads through Oak Creek Canyon, surrounded by the towering cliffs of red rocks, which protect a clear and gentle stream called Oak Creek. These steep cliffs greeted us with the formations of a huge heart, an Angel Wheel, and a 7-circuit Labyrinth, which you could see from quite a distance. It was as if we were entering the gateway into another world.

The natural beauty of Sedona reflects the health and aliveness of the land. Immediately I felt the increased energy as it vibrated through my body. I felt at home, comfortable and at peace with myself.

My sisters and I have been on our individual journeys to find our own unique expressions and to develop our spiritual gifts independent of one another. This was the first trip we have taken together since we were children. We came together to share the gifts of our own journeys and the wisdom that life had brought each of us. The experience of coming together at Angel Valley was as much for us as it was for the women taking part in the retreat.

On arrival, we were greeted by the loving hearts of Gary, the general manager (or I would call him ‘the gate keeper’) and Catherine. Both of them welcomed us to this beautiful, angelic place with open arms. As we walked the land, surrounded by the mountains named after the Archangels, we felt fully protected and held by the amazing presence and by all who worked at this sacred place.

This retreat center provided the perfect space where each of us could move deeper. A veil was lifted, allowing us to touch aspects of ourselves that have not been seen, hidden inside yet reflected in the eyes of another.

The energy here, amplified because of vortexes on the site, brought to the surface the secrets of the past. The courage to trust God was now greater than the hold of old familiar stories that anchored us to the lies of fear. Our trust in God’s love exposed our false beliefs.

Arriving here within the heart of mother earth, we felt as if we were held by these majestic rocks as the angels gently brought the messages from our soul. I could see the beauty in all of the people as I gazed at them from a place deep within the heart of the One.

The shadows began to show themselves, rising up through the ashes of the past while Spirit, like a hand reaching out from beyond our comprehension, pulled us out of the darkness to walk strongly in self upon this earth. For my sisters and me, it was a coming home of sorts as we came full circle through our own wombs to birth the Christ self. I felt like the heavens and all our ancestors bowed down to acknowledge the lives we have chosen to live. Free, we held ourselves with deep respect, knowing that the guiding light of God’s presence is always here to bring us forth in the world where we join together as One heart.

Angel Valley, a place to come Home, anchored in the power of Spirit in form. Listening deeply to the calling of our soul within the sweat lodge with Healing Wolf – truth telling, releasing old patterns, forming new relationships with self and others, chanting and allowing the darkness to birth a new day. As each walked silently drumming and singing to the rising sun, we silently watched the light shine its face in all of us. There was a freedom to love purely as we danced, stretched, and experienced the movement of energy flowing from within.

We embraced tears of joy as the grief of past hurts became the doorway to express more life. We came together, guided by a light from within and a knowing that we are never apart.

As we leave this vortex, inside we are spinning more energy. The gifts of this land gave us so many blessings which live on and on and on, through our living. Blessing this journey, the circle is complete and together we remember the promise made long ago.

Live in balance, your male and female self merged with your spirit.
Let your soul guide you to the heart of the new world that receives all creation.

To Gary, Catherine, Jaap, Aaron and Michael and Amayra- your loving presence was a continued support in so many ways and your service to this sanctuary touches me deeply. I bow down to Mother Earth, where I deeply merged back into the womb with my sisters, Colleen and Philomene, whose love and commitment to self has changed my life forever. We can now all move forward together with the angels and all of the spirit guardians of the earth and live in our hearts, and be the inspiration to bring more purpose into the lives of others.
